Chloe Spencer likes the color pink, cats, roller coasters and shopping at Abercrombie and Fitch. And, like many teens, the McFarland High School sophomore has found a way to earn a little cash. With her dad’s help, Spencer has monetized her site, earning cash that could help her buy a car and attend film school. Chloe’s dad, Stephan Spencer, is founder and president of Netconcepts, a Madison consulting firm specializing in search engine optimization. Read the rest of this entry »

Filed Under (blog make money) by jon claude on 15-01-2008

by G Allan Roberts
Blogging has undoubtedly changed the way people make money online, especially those who have the knack for writing and has the need to help people. What can be a better way to earn money than expressing your thoughts and getting paid for it? Here are the steps to create more money in blogging:

1. Traffic. In order to cash in your writing skills, you must first draw traffic to your blog. You can easily do this through SEO, link building, article writing, and forum posting. You can also join forums, social networking sites, and social bookmarking sites.

2. Advertise. Once you have enormous and steady traffic on your blog, you can start earning profits through your ads. Just make sure that your ads are relevant to your content. If your blog topic is about making money online, ads like make money through blogging, affiliate marketing, and article writing would be perfect.

3. Sell ad space to other advertisers. As long as you have impressive traffic on your site, marketers will be more than willing to put their banner ads on your blog for a fee. Just make sure that you don’t put too much ads that will overshadow your contents.

4. Sustain the traffic. Update your site regularly so your online visitors would have a good reason to visit your blog over and over again. Also, don’t stop promoting your sites using the above mentioned best traffic-generating tools.

5. Build personal relationship with your visitors. Never ignore their comments or their suggestions; you can use these to improve your blog.

6. Expand your readership. There is never too much when it comes to traffic. Thus, getting more and more people to read your blog every single day will definitely help you get that profit you have always dreamed of.

Visitors to Weblo’s site will see that they can “earn money from your popularity online.” Weblo estimates people’s advertising value based on variables like how many friends they have in their social networks, and, thus, how many people will likely see ads on their pages.
Facebook does not allow users to sell ads on their profile pages. Chris Kelly, Facebook’s chief privacy officer, told me on Nov. 6 that is because Facebook does not want Read the rest of this entry »
